04.02.03 Field Composition
The field is normally be limited to one hundred sixty eight (168) Competitors comprised of the following categories.
1. Exempt competitors who respond by the invitation closing date.
Exemptions are:
a. Nova Scotia Men’s Mid Amateur Champions from the previous five years.
b. Nova Scotia Men’s Mid Amateur Team members of the previous two years
c. Competitors placing fifteenth (15th) or lower in each of the divisional competitions in last years Men’s Mid Amateur Championship.
d. Four (4) NSGA discretionary exemptions.
Exempt Competitors will be notified not later than March 1st of each year and their names will be listed on the exempt players list on the tournament information page.
2. The first (144 - #1 respondents) entries accepted
The entries to the Men’s Mid Amateur Qualifier will serve as the waiting list.
It is utilized on a first come first serve basis, should an accepted entry withdraw from the tournament prior to teeing off.
3. The twenty-four (24) Competitors who have qualified through the Men’s Mid Amateur Qualifier.
4. Should there be no shows and players who failed to qualify are standing ready; they will be placed into those positions the order of their ranking in the Men’s Mid Amateur Qualifier. |
