04.01.10 Competitions:
 
1.      Championship Team
 
a.      Overall Lowest Gross Score for holes played. (Normally 36 holes)
In the event of a tie, the tied teams shall play one or more extra holes, on a sudden victory basis, following the final round.
 
b.      The Gerry Rice Memorial Plaque is presented to the Champion Team.
Each team member receives a keeper plaque
 
c.      The Champion Team members receive supplementary gift certificates in addition to the one they received for winning their division.
 
2.      Provincial Team Selection
There is no Provincial Team selected at this event
 
3.      Divisional
a.      The number of divisions is the integer result of dividing the number of Teams teeing off on day 1 of the tournament by thirty (30).
 
b.      The division breakpoints are based on team RCGA Handicaps calculated as described in the RCGA Handicap Manual; Section 9-4 b ii
Calculation example:
1.       Calculate the course handicap for each team member
(RCGA Handicap Factor * Slope / 113)
Player A’s
RCGA Handicap Factor of 8.0 calculates to a handicap of 8
Player B’s
RCGA Handicap Factor of 16.0 calculates a handicap of 16
 
2.      Verify and make the adjustment to the higher handicap in the team if the difference exceeds the limit in 04.01.02-3a-i
Player A has an RCGA Handicap of 8
Player B has an RCGA Handicap of 16
      This exceeds the limit is set for this tournament
Player B’s RCGA Handicap Factor is reduced 14.
 
3.      Calculate the Allowances for each team member.
90% of Player A’s handicap of 8 = 7.2 (rounds to 7)
90% of Player B’s handicap of 14= 12.6 (rounds to 13)
 
4.      Calculate the team handicap
Player A’s handicap of 7 plus Player B’s handicap of 13 calculates to a team handicap of 21
 
c.      In the event of tie for a gross score position within a division, it shall be broken by matching scorecards on the following sets of holes:
1.      Lowest gross score for holes 10-18; 13-18; 16-18; 18
2.      Lowest gross score for holes 1-9; 4-9; 7-9; 9
3.      If this process does not break the tie, the previous round’s cards should matched using this process. If there is no previous round is available the tie will be broken by lot.
 
d.      The number Gift Certificates shall be equal across the divisions.
 
e.      The value of the gift certificates is based a percentage set by the executive each year and the number of players teeing off on day 1. See appendix …
