Players & Caddies are expected to walk in this event
Section II of the policy provides exceptions:
Competitors meeting one of the following criteria, may be permitted to use a motorized golf car under the conditions in Section III below.
- Competitors who have reached their 55th birthday as of the first day of this competition.
- Competitors who produce, to the Tournament Chair prior to teeing off on the first day of the tournament, a current-year medical certificate signed by a doctor indicating the competitor's need to use a motorized golf car due to one or more medical conditions.
When use is permitted
- A player who uses a motorized golf car during this competition will not be eligible to become a member of the team being selected.
- A competitor who uses a motorized golf cart must make his own arrangements for reserving it and abide by the rules of operation of the host club.
Section III
- If a motorized car is shared by two or more players, the car and everything in it are deemed about the hole. involved except that, when the cart is being moved by one of the players sharing it, the car and everything in it are deemed to be that player's equipment.
- When using a motorized goldf car, the player must not
- permit anyone other than a player sharing a car or their caddies to ride in or drive the car (other than moving it a short distance to facilitate play).
- when practical, drive past any player's ball to gauge distance or gather information about the hole.
Section IV
A player or his caddy in breach of this rule is subject to a penalty of two strokes for each hole at which the breach occurred; maximum penalty per round is four strokes.
In the event of a breach between the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole.
Any subsequence breach of this rule may result in disqualification. |
